Ingredients
- 8oz Soft Margarine
- 8oz Sugar
- 2 tbsp Treacle
- 12oz Plain Flour
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 3 ½ tsp Ground Ginger
- 2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- 2 Eggs
- ½ Pt Milk
Method
- Melt together margarine, sugar and treacle.
- Beat in two eggs.
- Sift all dry ingredients.
- Add Bicarb to warm milk.
- Beat treacle mixture into flour then add milk. Beat well.
- Turn into a deep 12x8 lined tin and bake for 35 minutes at 170C
