Ingredients

  • 4oz Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 4oz Medium Oatmeal
  • 4oz Margarine
  • 3oz Granulated Sugar
  • 2 level tbsp Golden Syrup

Method

  1. Mix together flour, soda and ginger. Add oatmeal.
  2. Rub in margarine and then add sugar. Slightly melt syrup and add.
  3. Draw mixture together to make a soft dough. Break pieces off, roll into balls and place on greased trays. Flatten with fork.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes at 180C, 350E, Gas 4. Cool before removing.
