Ingredients

  • 1oz grated cheese
  • 1 ½ lbs potatoes
  • ¼ pint Cider
  • Butter

Method

  1. Peel and thinly slice potatoes
  2. Put a layer of potatoes in buttered casserole and cover with cheese
  3. Repeat with potatoes and pour over cider, top with a dab of butter
  4. Bake 400F, gas 6 for one and a half hours or until potatoes tender.
  5. Cover at end to prevent getting too brown.
